• Upgrade for my current PC £300-500 Budget

I bought a PC about 4 years ago from Overclockers, specs below; Intel Core i3 530 ATI Radeon HD 5830 (1024MB) 4GB RAM 700W PSU I'd like to upgrade the GPU & RAM mainly (and the CPU if it fits in the budget.) Any help would be great!
You can afford all 3 in one go. The GPU can max out any game at 1080p, and the RAM is RAM. Your motherboard may require a bios update for the CPU though. What's the point of buying a new cpu now with Broadwell coming out soon? The 2130 is not outdated by any means and won't bottleneck a gpu to a meaningful degree. You could get a 290 and another 4gm ram stick instead (you just have to run a program like cpu-z to see the specs on your current ram). Oh, well then you're on the 1156 socket, in which case you would have to upgrade both cpu and mb. A 530 will definitely be a bottleneck, though I'm not sure to what degree. You'll certainly still be able to max out any game with a 770, 280x, or 290. If you want to upgrade your cpu and mb as well I would recommend you wait for the new Haswell Refresh to start selling and grab one in place of the 4570 as it'll be the same price. Otherwise PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks CPU: Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor (£136.79 @ Aria PC) Motherboard: Asus Z97-C ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£101.40 @ CCL Computers) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£27.59 @ Aria PC) Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card (£239.99 @ Amazon UK) Total: £505.77 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-05-13 19:54 BST+0100) [editline]13th May 2014[/editline] I would say get the 770 (or 290) and ram and see how it runs and check your cpu performance and whether it's a big bottleneck. If the games run well your best option is to just wait till Broadwell comes out and grab an i5 then and z97 (or higher) mb.
