From what I've been hearing it sounds like Saints Row III 2.
Saints row 2 was also Saints row 1-2.
I got Saints Row 3 last year by getting rid of my Team Fortress 2 items.
Going to actually pre-order the Wub Wub edition this time for the Gat statue. Plus I get the badass cover. Those Team Fortress skins just remind me how far downhill that game has gone, and I want nothing of that.
Very stupid idea to preorder this.

I hate when people say that, Saints Row 2 was barely comparable to SR1, although both great games, SR2 by far exceeds the quality of the first game

This game has TF2 weapon skins. SR3 had TF2 giant heads.

you didn't have to pre-order the game though.

And literally over 75 percent of the content was ported over with little changes.

You're saying it as if it was a bad thing. A good sequel should offer what the predecessor did, plus more.

People are def saying it's a bad thing here, but SR2 gets a free pass for whatever reason.
Judging from everything we've heard, like how IdolNinja (who unlike the rest of us actually played the game) has been praising it all over the place, the game will be to the third game what SR2 was to the first. An enormous improvement.

And clearly everyone here hasn't seen this enough:

I just went to gamestop and they don't have it yet
£40? I do not like this new trend at all.
I'm interested in this but I hope there are more main missions because most of SR3s were like challenges

That sounds amazing. I really hope this will be a good game.

Oh hi, Johnny.
[editline]7th June 2013[/editline]
Interesting how it seems Johnny survived a katana through the gut, pulled it out himself and kept running, but not this.
I knew this game was going to be 50 dollars or more. I'll wait for a sale, a big one.
I'm gonna preorder it just for the $5 off. Have we heard anything about the co-op yet?

This looks like it might've gotten him in the heart [sp]which is basically immediate death while the gut you could survive[/sp].

Then I'm a fucking moron and proud of it.
$70?
I was interested in this up until I saw the price. I enjoyed SR3 a lot, but not $70 a lot.

As opposed to it being less than that? When has a AAA release ever been less than 50?

Aren't like all new games in Australia that price?

Johnny Gat is a Zombie, (and a clone hulk at one point), It's going to take more than a sword to kill him.

When games cost that much, I usually expect them to be a bit more than just the previous game with some additions added on. I paid that much for SR3, but I'm not going to pay that much again just to have a second copy of the game with some features added to it. I don't like it when Call of Duty does it, I don't like it how Battlefield is starting to do it, Saints Row isn't an exception.
Chances are if SR4 will be anything like SR3 in terms of sales, it'll be dirt cheap in less than a year from now. That's when I will get it.

If there was a 2-pack i'd probably split it with someone and get it, though
The epic conclusion to the game that changed all the rules!

conclusion
What does it mean by this? The conclusion to the SR3 story arc or something? I wouldn't think they'd end the whole series here.

Just like they changed the style of the game with SR3 they're planning to change it again with SR5 after what I've heard.
Also I'm pretty sure the whole "epic conclusion" thing is just part of the hollywood-movie-drama parody. It will just be a conclusion to the story they've set up.

The game isn't out yet and it is a complete fucking sequel not SR3.5 like you guys whine and bitch about even though you have no proof.
Wait until the game is released and it happens to turn out it is SR3.5 before you say shit like this. You have absolutely nothing to base your claims on, all you have to go by are small snippet videos showcasing a few features in the games alpha or early beta stage.
SR4 is just as much of a standalone game as SR2 was. Built upon the same engine and city, obviously re-using assets to focus on more important things that adds to the games.
The trailer kinda impressed me again, but still, with the gameplay footage they showed before i'm still not very ecstatic since I wasn't a fan of the gimmick weapons and drawn-out 'special melee' animations still being present. But only time will tell if they fix those problems up in the final version or if the game is actually leagues better, I suppose. v:v:v

Some PC games are, but you'll mostly seem them at $80-$100, and $100-$120 for console games
