Wow only 99 cents, I hear good things about this game, and 99 cents seems like a steal, is it worth it?
Take it with the DLC, it's really worth it at this price.
Some people say the dlc changes the game, maybe buy the base game and store the dlc in your inventory.
An absolutely fantastic deal for money. I'd highly recommend people get this game. Randomly generated dungeons combined with a ridiculous amount of collective items mean that every run through is different. You may end up firing giant lasers of death that wiggle around and turn every enemy into paste, or you could end up with slow-firing shots that do barely any damage at all while you fly around in a mario-esque invulnerability state... Or you could get screwed and get lemon disaster and die on the second level. A very good example of perma-death in a game, and is a brilliant gateway to other perma-death games out there. Did I mention the games are never too long and never outstay their welcome? You can probably fit a BoI game in any section of free time.
However, the DLC does change the game a lot. As in, the item count is practically doubled which is great for veterans but maybe not so for newcomers. Frankly though, with the DLC and having the patience to beat its harder enemies, you'll have HOURS of fun, fun that you can pick up and play easily without having to commit to anything such as scores or that naff.

Buy the game, collect the steam cards.
You'll have earned back what you paid for the game, while playing the game.

There's no reason to do this since the dlc is just more content.

I don't know, it added more difficult enemies, which could be a pain for a new person to get used to.

It'd be worth it without the sale even
Oh it is definitely worth it, it'll probably tide you over until Rebirth comes to PC, which is gonna add a whole lotta content.
Apparently the dev was gonna do more expansions, but then the flash file became nearly impossible to export.
FYI if you own the original BoI on Steam you'll get a discount off of the preorder for Rebirth.
At this point if you don't own the game it's a no brainer
you should really get this game
(i've put 241 hours into it personally)
