How did the OIFY get started? - General

I heard Moderator Hezzy was behind the creation of the OIFY, and I know that it is on its way down the drain. All it is used for now is spam, porn, and crap threads. Does anyone know why? I've always wondered how to OIFY got started. And I totally agree about the OIFY. It should be taken down for a month, and put back up. How did the OIFY get started?

They were tired of the shit-bitch trolls, so instead of being online 24/7 they made a special place for them. The OIFY is a strange place though. It's the only place where anything is allowed but also the only place where you can get permabanned for no reason. But, You'll Figure It Out.

Because they got tired of all the spammers and trolls and shit so he made the OIFY. It's not all that great now, I liked it when it was hidden.

I thought the OIFY back then was a forum for banned users to post in

I think back in the olden days, 56 started as a thread within GD as a spam thread so that idiots didn't make threads in GD that wouldn't belong. People did it anyways, and eventually 56 got it's own forum. Of course, no one really did much with it at first. Then after it grew on the 06ers, it became a home for idiots. 07 came around and then a whole bunch of people I can only assume spawned on a bathroom floor somewhere began taking things over. That's when it really went downhill, and when I stopped going to 56 all together. It was also hidden for a while I think in 07 or 08 so that people could only find it with the URL posted by ArcNova above me.

The OIFY was then exactly as it is now. And then there was the whole Jess thing. It was never a serious section.
