• Upgrading GPU.

Hi there! My current GPU, GTS 8800 is broken, and it won't work, instead of looking at ways to fix it, I now have a valid excuse to purchase a new one. I prefer nVidia, but I can go either way. My top price is 413 USD, or 2500 NOK. I'm looking into a upgrade, not to replace my current card  My PSU is 650 Watt, and I would prefer if the card wasn't any longer (or deeper) than 25 cm, any suggestions? Thank you for your time
SAPPHIRE 100282-3SR Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB = $280 -snip, just noticed you're from Norway. Look into whatever model of the 5850 is cheapest wherever Norwegians buy hardware from, and buy that.- Or if you REALLY have to go nVidia (which is a poor choice given how loud, power hungry, hot and expensive there newest cards are), then check out the GTX 470.

The 5850 is awefully tempting, but my main game at the moment is Flight simulator X, would FSX run at a decent speed? (25+ FPS)
Easily
The 5850 is awefully tempting, but my main game at the moment is Flight simulator X, would FSX run at a decent speed? (25+ FPS)
It will sideways destroy that game. [editline]12:10PM[/editline] Crysis? Psshh "Very high" at 50 FPS thank you 5850.
Sideways destroy? Well, I'd enjoy it if it was working :v: Thanks for all your help, I will most likely go with the 5850. It's kind of hard to believe it's so cheap though..
LOL. For sure. The 5850 will max out Crysis.
Get the 5850 and easily overclock to 5870 speeds. Save yourself some money.
