The Opinions of Facepunch Concerning other Online Communities - General

I've noticed that the general population of veteran Facepunch dwellers seem xenophobic to a degree of outsiders. I'm not sure about whether this is simply an effect of being limited to just Facepunch, or whether this atmosphere is created by the extreme cynicism of many a Facepunch user. I quite like the "quirkiness" of the Facepunch community, and I'm curious to see the general opinions on other sites/communities. SA - meh, I don't like the look / how its run 4Chan - Userbase is fags, but I lurk just to see if any raids are happening (FTLulz) Interlopers - No idea Steam Users - Meh, dont go often Minecraft Forums - Some of the people are okay

SA- Pay to talk. No thanks. 4chan- Sometimes good, sometimes bad, sometimes houses the biggest dicks you've ever seen. Literally. Interlopers- Don't quite know what that is... Steam Users- God damn trolling assholes killing tf2. Also alot of umad bros everywhere. Minecraft forums- Meh. Don't like minecraft.

SA - I don't visit that site, so I can't offer an opinion 4Chan - They have their good and bad users. Just like FP does Interlopers - I don't visit that site Steam Users - I also don't visit there enough to really say. From what little I've seen they're so-so Minecraft - Again, both good and bad users

Oh, in case anyone didn't know what Interlopers was, it's a forum specifically centered around Source and UDK mapping. It's easy to find.

SA: Haven't visited it enough to decide. 4Chan: Unorganized style and for the most part uninteresting posts. Interlopers: Haven't visited it enough to decide. SPUF: Some parts filled with idiots, other parts are decent. Minecraft Forums: Haven't visited it enough to decide.

I love total anonymity, nobody judges you for anything but your posts. Not by avatar, not by name, not by reputation. The only people on 4chan that can still be judged by reputation and name, is the camwhores and tripfags. As anonymous you never have to hold your opinion back, and you never need to feel ashamed of something you've said. Don't get me wrong, I love Facepunch equally. I do love having a name, avatar and reputation here, but it's two different worlds. Facepunch is like making love to someone you hold close, 4chan is like jumping into an orgy.

I'll say what I think regardless of what others will think about it.

SA - Good userbase, but that's due to the fact you have to pay for an account so vthere are less trolls/spammers/etc. 4chan - As to be expected with a community of that size, you have a combination of good posters and complete idiots
