So a month or so ago I got a blue screen on my laptop. I didn't think much of it and continued on with my life. Now about a week or two ago I found out that I had this google hijack virus that takes links and google and redirects you to ad sites. Most of the time when I find a virus I can kick it off of my computer with AVG, if not then Malwarebytes. Well I scanned my computer and Malwarebytes didn't find anything (I did a full scan). AVG found 2 trojans and I removed them. I didn't trust that the problem was fixed so I looked for another scanner and ended up downloading TDSSkiller. I scanned and it found a rootkit which it "cured".
10 minutes after this, I got another blue screen and restarted my computer. When I logged back on my antivirus was corrupt and I couldn't get on the internet, so I did a system restore to a week ago. Now I'm back to the beginning, with the google hijack virus and apparently a lot of hidden trojans and maybe a rootkit. Malwarebytes won't find anything, which is what I usually rely on if AVG doesn't work. I'm not sure where to go because I have tried 3 antivirus programs and all of them have only caused more problems for me. I have a log file recorded with HijackThis if anybody would like to see it. I'm at a standstill and I would like my laptop functioning properly, so any help would be appreciated.
Backup important shit, I'd reformat.
what if the virus spreads via autorun also?

also, yes post the hijackthis log, there are some bloody obvious things sometimes and that would probably help
I didn't really take any time to look at this yet, fyi.
I actually had something similar 2 weeks ago or so, I got a BSOD, then a trojan warning from my antivirus, I let Malware Bytes do its job in Safe Mode. It found a few things, but apparently the virus was still there, because my virusscanner was still alerting me. In the end I installed Avira, which did manage to get rid of the virus, partially. I installed Comodo Internet Security as it helped me find new virus files being created (randomly). I read something aboud TDSSKiller aswell, and it also found the rootkit (and cured it). Now it seems to be ok.
What should you do? Get rid of AVG, it's not doing much good. I don't know what anti virusses you have tried, but I do recommend something like avira or Avast!. Do a scan in safe mode.
Furthermore, you could try and remember on whether you ever installed a toolbar. Your Hijack this log suggests you did. Then you could try looking to the host file which is located at something like c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/. You should right click the file named 'host' and click on edit. If you know how the host file works, then do your thing and remove the bad stuff. If you don't, post the content of it here.
DON'T USE MULTIPLE ANTIVIRUSES! They conflict with each other and bog down your computer. Remove them all and install MSE.
