Game crashes everytime I click the toybox tab ingame

Hey guys, I came to this thread to try and see if anyone could help me with this issue im having. Everytime Im ingame and click the toybox button in the item selection screen it says "attempting to log into steam please wait" and about 1 minute later the game automatically crashes.

If anyone has a fix to my problem it would be greatly appreciated :)

If you're talking about Gmod 12, it's broken for everyone right now.
