Every now and again, when I launch steam, I get system write error popup, saying it failed to write some .gcf file, and then from "My Computer" I no longer have a D Drive, just a C Drive, like it failed or something, but if I do a restart, it works again, until I launch steam.
No, I reformatted not too long ago, and installed Steam STRAIGHT to the D Drive, because C Drive is considerably small.
Ill explain what my D Drive is.
I've got 1 internal hard-drive, about 250GB, and then I partitioned it, a C and D Drive, so, thats how I got my D Drive, so technically, the D Drive is the same as the C Drive just a different sector of the internal Hard Drive.
bump still not fixed
Go to Start -> Run -> cmd -> chkdsk D: /f /v /r
Let it restart and check for bad sectors.
