I used it to post this, and do other things. In my opinion it's pretty awesome, going to use it instead of chrome.
What do you guys think? It supports all the standards now and more!

Beta Review by Engadget: http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/15/internet-explorer-9-beta-review/
I don't see why I'm going to favor this over chrome (I love the sandbox in this browser).
But if IE9 actually supplies a great engine, and is natively sandboxed... I'm in for an extended stay.
One thing i don't like about IE is the design it looks so ugly and boring Chrome and Opera look much better and firefox is not even trying. Lets hope they maybe redesign IE.

That's why I have a screenshot and now a full one from my comp.
Is IE9 going to get stuff like speed dial and something like opera link that syncs your bookmarks and your speed dial etc with hotmail or something?

It has a most visited 6 boxes type thing in a blank tab just like Google Chrome, but whats also really cool, is that if you drag a page to your taskbar on 7 it will make a special button. Which if you click, will open up interet explorer and make it themed for that page, but it has to be one of the supported pages like Facebook or IMDB. And it also allows fast shortcuts to friends on facebook by right clicking that tab thing on your taskbar you made.
Plus, GPU acceleration and all the new things it supports, it's really cool trying to see MS try to catch up since they've been sitting on there ass just watching everyone go by.
If IE9 doesn't have
Skins
Addons (greasemonkey alternative, noscript, ABP)
then I am not using it
Yay, forces 64-bit version on 64-bit OS. :D
This is going to help move plugins to 64-bit.
Looks generic...
Still trying, though...

html5 support...
This is starting to look good...
Is it only mine that wont load the Acid3 test?

I've been using it for a few hours now (usually a Chrome user but this is an interesting build). I never knew of this feature. Now if only I could get it to open up as a tab and not a new window...
EDIT: The only supported one i'd truly use is the Facebook one. Any other popular sites got on the bandwagon?

If you go to that Beauty of the web link in the OP, it shows you the new IE features.
Windows Azerus is the feature that syncs your data?
Does the folder navigation sound still play when you click any link? That shit got annoying real fast.
Pretty sure system sounds are turned off by default.
Does the folder navigation sound still play when you click any link? That shit got annoying real fast.
Nope. I wish it would though, without it you never know if it registered your click or not.
But hot damn this is sickeningly fast. Chrome can suck it.

There's a list of sites on the beauty opf the web site I think.

God fucking damn it's great having the properties page back.
[editline]12:59AM[/editline]
Awesome, it has better keyboard support with something called "Caret browsing".
APNG Support?
No, APNG isn't a standard, it's a Firefox only format.

opera
You should use MNG really, which is a standard, not a dirty hack, and already supported on every browser by virtue of a netscape plugin.
I like it. It's not that bad actually compared to to IE8. I obviously won't use it but I have it installed just for kicks.
It has potential.

It's Faster, but i'm not rushing to swap it for Chrome
I wont be switching any time soon. I'm happy right where i'm at with Chrome. But it is nice to see MS catching up and making IE less of a steammy pile of horse shit. Competition is good for the end user. Hopefully this will also force improvements to be made on most/all browsers in the coming months.
I'm never switching to IE no matter how many lies Microsoft pushes out about it.
This is actually amazing, I might go so far as to say that Soluto has a rival in usability now.
How fast is it? And how safe is it?
Pretty damn fast, on average it feels more responsive than Chrome actually in general use, which is impressive.
Probably at least as safe as IE8, if not safer. Though it is beta. But it should be pretty safe. Just keep in mind by disabling UAC you also disable most if not all of the critical safety features of IE, so don't do that.
How to improve the UI:

Note how there is no massive empty space at the top
[sp]It's all on one line now.[/sp] :v:
What did you change?
You should use MNG really
APNGs are usually smaller than MNGs.
already supported on every browser by virtue of a netscape plugin.
On every browser? You're dreaming...
I'm never switching to IE no matter how much Microsoft improves it.
Fix'd, clearly you're never going to change your mind.
