A friend of mine built me a pc, but, I dont know how capable is the gfx card, so id like to ask how well is the gfx and the whole pc is going to run with games like TF2, CSS, crysis, fallout 3, bioshock, Cabal, gmod, cod4. You know, steam games and some of the best newish games.
Heres the specs:
Motherboard ASUS P5Q
CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 GHZ
RAM 4gb kingston
Western Digital 320gb 16mb cache sataII HDD
GFX card ASUS 9600GT 512MB GDDR3 HDMI
Is the card good for said games? Will the whole thing handle the games aswell?
GFX from there: http://www.f13pc.com/loja/index.php?catid=4&id=74
(yes its in PT, and its the only source to get my components)
Feel free to leave ideas.
Thank you for reading.
It's gonna max out all of that.
Wait, have you already built this?

No, he just choose the stuff. Ill buy it in September.
Max out? Like crysis on max settings? But will the performance be good? Like, having all on max but choking with FPS's below 50?
Or to explain it better, will it run games like TF2 on maxed out settings and with high fps, without ever choking?
Buy it in September?
I'd say get a Phenom X3 720, and when ATI's new cards come out, they'll drive down the price of almost all other cards.
Oh, and I didn't notice Crysis.

Im gonna buy the whole thing in September as a birthday gift :P
The place where im buying all the stuff accidentaly amd...
The whole pc is fine, the GFX is the thing where I got my doubts, and thats the only place I can get the stuff from atm.
Crysis is still really hard to max out and get a fps above 50. It can max out everything out though. COD4 might be somewhat slow but you can tune down a few settings.
With Crysis you will get around 20 fps on very high. you will go a lot higher on just high settings though.
Depending on your resolution, it could max out all those games. I've got a 9600GT running at 1360x768 and it easily maxes everything except Crysis, which I run at Very High and get about 20-30FPS. Everything else like COD4 and TF2 is completely maxed, including AA and AF.

Well, not planning to run it on fully max. Just planning to have a HUGE difference in performance and looks from playing crysis and cod4 on lowest possible. The pc I currently got handles TF2 badly. 10-30-60 fps, 10 being "in a war", 30 for example in the spawn room with more people (or just looking at the walls...) and 60 on an empty server looking at a wall. On css is about the same thing, but a little higher, but gets worse in large encounters.
Im expecting this new rig to do MUCH MUCH better then my old pc.
