Sorry I couldn't think of a better title for this thread. So anyway, my school offers a service for parents to check their child's grades online. I do good in school, but my dad constantly stalks my grades and I get in huge trouble if I don't do good on something. I know this seems childish, but I want to block this website so my parents can't check my grades. The problem is, when I do it via the router, it comes up with a big message saying "WEBSITE BLOCKED BY NETGEAR FIREWALL". I don't want my parents to suspect that I had anything to do with it. Is there a way to change this message to something a little more subtle, or just make the website time out? By the way, I can whip up a quick html file to mimmick a 404 or something, I just need to know where to put it.
Add an entry for the website to your hosts file, directing it to either a fake IP, or another website (on the computer they use)

I think birkett meant add DNS entry to direct school's url to your local webserver

Or you can download child control stuff and control your parents?

Wow, thanks! I looked at the hosts file and there's a bunch of IP's and URLs. Would I just add the IP I want to direct it to, and then the URL?

Correct.
Love you birkett.
