Hi there! So when ever I start up Sony Vegas and click on the program anywhere, It freezes, I click on anything and nothing happens. This all started when I had recorded some footage of Quake 1 in Fraps. After recording it I dragged it into Sony Vegas and EVERYTHING glitched out, including explorer. So soon after Sony Vegas would not open when I would click on the icon, I then un-installed Vegas and Re-installed it. After re-installation I open it and guess what! It crashes. I tried deleting Sony EVERYTHING in my Appdata folder and deleted Sony anything in RegEdit. Yet it will still have the same exact problem. I would really appreciate the help!
Reinstall that fucker. Install the 64 bit version if you have a 64 bit OS.
How hot is it where you are. You could have a dust problem inside choking airflow to the CPU or GPU. Buy a can of compressed Air (hold it upright and spray away from the computer for the first blast) then keeping it upright blow into all the air vents. You could have over heated, crashed and that could have caused corruption which would need a full re-install. The GPU could also have fried too.
