Well I have one question and one problem.
Wondering if anyone knew of a program that scanned your computer and came back with a list of drivers out of date or just a list of drivers so I can go and update them manually. I looked at the sticky and got some drivers from there but one of the things however is my mom recently took her computer to get fixed and they replaced some parts so I'm not sure how accurate the dell recommended drivers for this computer would be.
The computer is a Dell Dimension E521, Running 32 bit windows vista.
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory: 958MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE
As for the Ram Problem, As I said my mom recently had it taken to a Computer Repair center.
Well when we got it back we discovered by a dxdiag it had 512mb ram. We finally got another 1gb stick and opened it up,When we went to install it we discovered 2 512 mb ram cards, Well we placed the 1gb card in and for some reason now it only seems to be detecting 958 mb ram. What could be causing this? Even with the second 512mb card being defecting we should have 1.5gb right?
Any help is appreciated, If anyone needs more information just ask and I'll try to provide it.
So it's displaying half of what should be there?
Try checking the BIOS for any... weird ram related settings. Redundancy and the like.
And try placing the old ram in the correct config (same color pins, start with the one closest to the procesor) without the new one
About that ram. Do you have a monitor plugged in to a motherboard monitor port too?

How would I go about checking BIOS? I'm a tad computer illiterate, And I have tried to do that, One time it started up with 512 mb, Another two times it just beeped and did not start up.

Yes I do
check the screen as soon as it boots. Sometimes the key is F2, sometimes it's Del, sometimes it's something completely different.

That's why you lose your RAM. It uses your RAM as VRAM. So it can run the onboard graphics.
Wait, You have a multi monitor setup?

Good call tratzzz, OP your motherboard probably has an Intel GMA built in.
