Considering it was never meant to be seen like that, sure it looks pretty. Although it also makes you realize how much space is completely wasted, especially in Velen where a significant portion of the map is water and another chunk is inaccessible.

I hate when games do that, especially fallout. Why waste so much map space with water when it can be filled with interesting land.

You can sort of go under water / rivers though, and well, I do like being able to sail a bit every once in a while, to be honest.

water adds character to the rest of the world though. like the map in fo3 was so boring just because it became pretty monotonous to just walk over land.
