Can't let those filthy legit users own the content they pay for now can you?

All this bullshit surrounding 4K (Netflix's 4K restrictions on Windows come to mind) make me really not want to upgrade any time soon. I'm perfectly happy with 1080p so far. On my TV that's more than enough at the distance I'm usually watching from and on my PC I'd rather have higher framerates than 4K. You just can't compete with 144Hz for games.

Must have a monitor/TV and GPU supporting HDMI 2.0a with HDCP 2.2. Has to be played in a specific drive that all of them are manufactured by one company. Must have specific software due to encryption keys, all of which are services so reoccurring subscriptions. Or you could buy an Xbox One S and have a TV/monitor supporting HDCP2.2 and HDMI 2.0a. Or just give up because it's not worth the hassle when McPirate over there can watch his (uncommon, but exists) 4k rip on his Ryzen based PC with no problem.

4K Blu-ray is a scam.

For games that ARE based on reaction timing, 1440p/144hz is way more worth it. For general use I love it because it absolutely makes everything crisp and clean, and allows you to fit far more information on screen with far less effort. It's not like you need a totally wild insane computer either.
