How do I switch gamemodes on MY OWN L4D2 dedicated server?

Hello.

I'm at a LAN, and we have tournaments tomorrow and I need to set up a server for L4d2 versus-mode.

The server is up and it's running campaigns.

Thing is...we can't figure out how to change it to versus.
I've tried google, steam forums...duds.

Tried writing sv_gamemode versus in server.cfg - nothing.

Theres no maps that ends with _vs.

Are you logged into RCON?

Without RCON you won't change shit.

Did you try sv_gamemode as a console command?

I think the lobby leader can set mm_force_dedicated_servers to the ip of the server and it should get the gamemode set from the lobby.

Well, its made so you kinda cant join lobby...you join the map etc. the first map in dead center.

If you vote for lobby then you get Dc'd...thats kinda a problem too, but the main thing is that we just need a versus server where you can vote for different campaigns.

Your fucked. Server hosting is really complex in my experience and if you don't know exactly what's wrong its hard to fix especially if you don't know what you're doing.
