I have been considering getting the Turtle Beach X41's for a little bit now, and am wondering if you guys have an oppinion on them.

They're a bit pricey, but I would love their wireless-ness. I have lost to many a good pair of headphones to my stupid cats. Behind the entertainment center, the wires would be safe. (I could fight the cats off of the XBL chat wire, just because it's right there.)
I also have rechargeable AAA's, so that's not a problem.
I see nothing terribly wrong with them, based on lots of reviews.
Are there better (wireless) gaming headsets out there for the price? Are these bad somehow? Am I stupid for even thinking of buying them? Are there any other questions I should be asking?
With the ratings, go informative if "yes, go for it", and use artistic for "no, get something else".

Buy from another site like amazon. Their (Original Retailer) site will always be more expensive.
Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Force-Wireless-Digital-Headphone-Surround-360/dp/B002KSPKRS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1291772387&sr=8-1

And I'm getting HPA2's for christmas, its the PC kind, which I hope they will add an xbox compatible device in the future, which I doubt.
How is Amazon selling them for 20% lower then the retail price, new?

Because they probably have it on over stock or some shit? Who cares, they are 100% new and legit. I buy tons of shit from amazon, including games. $.98 release date shipping and $10-$20 future credit.
Get some headphones you can use away from the game if you're looking to invest that amount of money into some.
Sennheiser HD-25's or something.
And I hear triton is a good brand, but they are more expensive.
Oh you said wireless, you could look into Sennheiser RS120's.

The receiver has a digital audio in, and the normal audio jacks. I was planning on using the other for my computer.
The HD-25's are $100 more, aren't for xbox (or gaming for that matter), and are wired.
Thanks though.
Edit:
If only the RS120's had the microphone. I like the auto-charge feature, and the lower price.
Edit2:
The Triton's all have wires. :saddowns:

I believe most of those are headphones, not headsets.
To all of the people "disagree-ing" the OP: is that in response to my questions, or saying that you disagree with my positive interpretation of the headphones, saying I shouldn't get them?

They might be just pointing out that there are better options out there than what you have chosen. I hear about a faint buzzing noise with all turtle beaches that have the subwoofer in them due to the amp, which you apparently can't hear if you have another thing making noise (game, music, etc)

if you tried reading it you'll see that headphones + mic are a better choice than a headset

I'd give that a second thought. I bought my pair of HPA2's in July and the mic wire has already died. The wire that takes the mic signal from the headset to the computer is literally 1 mm thick and is bound to break after few months of normal use.
(to their credit, the headphones and mic sound(ed) great.
What good xbox mics are there?
The one's Xbox made suck i had atleast 4 Of them and now i have one....
I believe you said you wanted these for your XBOX, in which case these are a good choice. I have a set of turtle beach I use for my xbox and they sound great. It is nice hearing sounds, the bass is good, and they can get loud if that is what you are into.
The mic is good and everyone can hear you, a lot better than the default mic.
To someone who said that a microphone + headphones is better, that might apply for computers but not for the Xbox.
uh plugging them into something different doesn't suddenly change their quality
The problem here is that I'm not looking for computer headphones. I need the xbox mic.
Yes. if you are planning on using the inbuilt mic, otherwise, no. just go with a pair of Sennheiser RS120's or something.
