I've been saving up for a long time and I have finally saved up 2000 dollars for a gaming computer. The problem is I know a little about computers but I'm stumped about the parts. I would like to keep the computer under 2000 dollars and I would like it if you guys would use this site http://ijk.com.au/branch/kogarah/ to find the parts instead of sites like new egg, since I don't live in America. I also live in Australia :P

The site isn't in my language, but that much I can tell you

Do you really think that would be best with a $2000 budget..
Firstly, that site is WAY overpriced. Use Centrecom.
Do you need Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, HDD, DVD Drive?

w/out monitor. Here's one I suggest;

There's still room in the budget for Keyboard, Mouse and maybe a second monitor.
I don't actually care about anything else but the computer. I already have a perfectly working monitor, keyboard and mouse so why bother to get another one?
Where about in Australia do you live. I live in NSW?

because if your current monitor is 1024x768 or something then a 2k build is completely pointless

If you've already got a good monitor (as in 1920x1080 or higher), then you MIGHT be able to squeeze out 2 5850s.
[editline]04:05PM[/editline]
Yeah. Two 5850's brings the total to $1863.90

It's up to you. You could buy two good monitors and a 5870 or two 5850s and keep your current monitor.

Yeah I do live in NSW and I might consider getting the Asus monitor adzicents linked me, but why would I need 2 monitors?
You don't need 2, some people just prefer the extra space for general computing.
and the 5 series has Eyefinity which lets you game over multiple monitors

I think I'll get the Asus monitor and the 5870 card instead of 2x 5850. Does all the parts fit together that you listed? Also do I still need to buy fans?
Sounds good. You always have the room for another 5870 later if you get the money, the motherboard has two PCI-e slots.
Everything I listed fits.
You won't need to buy any extra fans for the case in the immediate future. The only reason you'd want a better CPU fan is if you were going to be doing overclocking, but the stock i5 fan is pretty good.
Should I also get Win7 as my OS? I've been hearing a lot of good things about it.

You shouldn't even think about getting anything else.
