Hey all,
I just installed metasploit, and when I try to connect to "https://localhost:3790/" I get the standard "Webpage is not available" error. Here's what I figured out:
It's not Chrome, as IE gives me the equivalent error.
http://localhost:3790 gives me a "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to localhost:3790" error.
ping to "localhost" works.
http/https://127.0.0.1:3790 still get their respective errors.
I can't figure out if netstat can lookup a single port, if someone posts that, I'll do it. I read the help page and googled it.
Can you make metasploit run on port 80?
use 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost

I've never used it before, so I can't tell you, but I'll look into it. Thanks
check for proxy settings, it is probably trying to run a script
internet options>connections>Lan settings>uncheck everything but Auto detect
