• Upgrading Vista to Windows 7, the long way
    5 replies, posted
Okay so I have a windows 7 install disk and everything, but unfortunately it wont boot from the BIOS. So I had to install Vista first. If I have absolutely nothing on Vista, can I upgrade to 7 and basically have the full speed advantage of 7?
Of course, why wouldn't you be able to?
How did you install Vista if you couldn't get the 7 disc to boot? If the 7 disc wouldn't boot it means that the disc is probably not burned properly.

My Vista disk is, however.
Then you need the Win 7 disk to be bootable. If you need a good image burning software, I recommend ImgBurn.
