• Sound problem in Borderlands.

Recently i've installed Borderlands, and I have sound on the cinematics and on the intro where it shows the 2k and gearbox clips etc etc, but not in game? I don't know what to do and sorry if this is in the wrong section, the borderlands megathread is completely dead and I don't know if this should go in games because it's a hardware problem (ish). Thanks.
Try adjusting the settings or restarting the game. I recently bought the GOTY edition and it did the same thing, I just had to restart the game.
Yeah, I have GOTY, restarted the game, pc and the settings are all fine.
1. check this: Windows sound mixer I've had things turned all the way down magically for absolutely no reason 2. Make sure the sound settings in game aren't turned down :v: 3. Is it possible the game thinks you have a surround sound setup? This happens quite often in many games.
I've had things turned all the way down magically for absolutely no reason
Windows thinks you're in a VOIP call? Check the communications tab of the Sounds settings and see if anything other than "do nothing" is selected.
yeah i know, it was that and I find it very stupid that it's enabled by default
It actually makes sense - when you're on Skype and someone calls you, suddenly everything turns down so you can HEAR THE OTHER GUY! Are you in the Steam Trade Beta?
