Hi PC nerds (Cue laugh track)
I need help. Like a year ago someone suggested a PC build for about $1100 Canadian and I think I'm finally in a place to actually do it. And now that my hard drive is dying, my sound card is randomly cutting out, my video is way outdated and my entire computer freezes for no real reason I figure I have to do it
So my question(s) is(are):
-Is that still a good build? I never got a second opinion (Still like to keep it at, around, or under $1200 Canadian obviously)
-Should I upgrade piece by piece or just do it all at once
You probably need a case too.

I'm going to show just how much I know about computers and ask why do I need the solid state drive
I mean, that's ninety bucks I could spend on beer and hentai commissions
Yeah you don't need it really. Just faster boot up times and stuff. Just added it cause you had it in the other build.
Dope, shadman here I come

Thanks though, this'll do me pretty well
PLEASE wait for the haswell refresh chips to be publicly released.
Don't, it's not worth $25 extra over the 4670k
If it fixes all the heat problems, and has MUCH higher overclocking potential, it is.
If i've learned anything from seeing what the new 4790k can do it doesn't seem like it overclocks higher. And it's hardly relevant and definitely not worth an extra $25. It's not like any added performance on top of the 4670k will help with anything.
It's a mere $25 that keeps you up-to-date. Why are you so worried about that? And Devil's Canyon set a record for overclocking, don't know why you think it doesn't overclock higher.
The overclockable models are still on preorder. Any tests done so far are with engineering samples, which are hand picked

Not saying DC doesn't have the potential to be noticeably better, but I'm waiting for the retail sample tests to come out before making my decision
