PAYDAY: The Heist - new DLC
iPhone 5 has a safety protocol for blocked devices so if they even turn them on and it connects to the internet for one second the phone will brick itself. Unless they go on the back market and crack it (which i assume with a non-tethered jailbreak?) and would greatly decrease the price of the iPhone's. Also just some time ago in Belgium there also was a robbery where loads of iPads and iPhones where stolen :v:
That's like what, a dozen iPhones?
That's like what, a dozen iPhones?
Basically a shopping basket full of 'em in their retail package
Armed robbers broke into a central Paris Apple store on New Year's Eve, stealing goods with an estimated value of one million euros (£813,000).
Oh so they stole 5 iMacs. But seriously, wonder if Apple realizes how big of a target they make themselves for thieves by selling their stuff for those prices.
iPhones have the ability to be tracked via gps (find my iPhone). Apple should probably find a way to enable this at a low power level so they can track stolen shipments.
I don't think the robbers would be dumb enough to steal the one or two product lines that have ways to track them embedded in them I bet they ran off with a bunch of laptops and mac minis and accessories.
I sort of thought what it was that they stole worth £813,000, what is that, 5 Mac's and an iPhone?
Nothing of REAL value was lost.
Nothing of REAL value was lost.
what are you talking about apple maps saved my life
Nothing of REAL value was lost.
What about the glass window/door that they broke into?
What about the glass window/door that they broke into?
Why did an Apple store have Windows in the first place? :v:
iPhones have the ability to be tracked via gps (find my iPhone). When that happens, you're screwed. Sadly, no one wants to be tracked all the time, so Apple could never really implement a system that allows you to find the phone even after it's been wiped (A persistent GPS based on serial number?). Also, what about the poor sap that ends up with it, they may not even realise the phone was stolen but they could end up in trouble for it. Life is grand, eh? :P
What about the glass window/door that they broke into?
Isn't that glass deadly to old people who keep walking into it and dying? So yeah, heroes saved some poor old man's life.
actual value of the technology stolen: £500
what if the old person was a corrupt congressmen on vacation in paris?
I highly doubt Republicans would go on vacation somewhere in Europe (well maybe except Britain)
iPhones have the ability to be tracked via gps (find my iPhone).
actual value of the technology stolen: £500
If that.
