What would you do if you were rich? - General

Just curious what people would fuck about doing if they had all the money they needed to do so. If I was rich and had a mansion I would create a massive collection out of it where I have 11 living rooms connected to each other each a perfect recreation of a decade from the 1900s-2000s, to the point where walking in any makes you feel as though you’ve entered a time machine. The 70s-2000s rooms especially would also feature massive collections of decade appropriate media, especially video games and consoles, played accurately in their original formats, so you were to be in the 2000s room you’d play XBOX or PS2 on an old CRT and shit.

Give it to various charities and keep a sizable part for myself to live on. I don't want being rich to define how people see me.

I assume my riches are somewhere between a few hundred million and infinite so here's a list in no particular order. -hookers -blow -fund cancer research -fire Trump -fund space exploration -fund under water sea exploration -buy every facepuncher that gas mask they always wanted -buy a small house somewhere and live mostly a modest life And that's it for now. Maybe add more later.

Basically I'd be the same but I'd buy more shit. Also would buy my own house and everything, etc. etc.

Invest in real estate, live off the rents. I'd be a slum lord.

Make sure my family can live well, and take my time through life with little stress

i'm not [I]rich[/I] per se, but i can afford everything i want whenever i want right now but i don't have anything more that i want anymore, so it just goes into savings

I would buy my family houses and then give a lot to charity. I'd also buy a shitton of meat and learn how to make beef jerky in huge quantities

Invest in safe, low return investments like in the government and then just live a moderately wealthy life without a real job. I'd still work because I'd probably lose my mind if I didn't, but it'd be more hobby shit.

Use it all to pay off half of my college debt.

Hire my own gamestudio, so I have people who know wtf they are doing, while being in charge of everything, so I can 100% do all the shit, I wanna see in a video game, myself.

Give most of it to my Nana to help her with her medical bills and then put the rest in the bank and live off the interest.

Wouldn't donate to larger charities, but instead focus on my immediate area. Donate to local shelters etc and watch my local town improve over time then spread out. But mainly I'll just get a decent house, then fill it with gaming shit and books etc.

Get a sizable collection of video games and movies and direct a movie/make a game of my own to see if i was any good at it.

Pay off my own debts. Pay off my dad's debt, and give him plenty of cash to kickstart his business. An apartment, 2 or 3 rooms. Furniture for that. Beast PC with everything I could ever need for both gaming and work (maybe two PCs, different GPU/CPU setups depending on softwares). And uh, that's pretty much it? I'm more generous than I should be already and then to just give shit away or buy people things even if I can't technically afford it so I'd just keep doing that but be able to afford it, I guess.

Divide the money into two. Half would be used to invest. The remaining half, I'd divide again. I'd place a half of that in the bank. The remaining portion I'd split yet again. Half of THAT would go to my friends and family and anyone else. The final portion I'd blow on whatever I wanted.

I'd get all the typical things out the way, pay off debt, buy a nice home for myself (I'm a man of few worldly possesions) put a large lump sum into a bank account so I don't have to worry about bills until I die, and buy a home for my family members etc. But one thing I'd definately do is buy a disused factory/skyscraper/officeblock/housing block and turn it into a laserquest or paintball arena.

I'd invest the money into many different profitable things so I'm set Also keep it in parts in different banks so I don't risk losing it all at once Then I'd just buy everything. Money doesn't buy happiness but it sure gives you all you need to allow for happiness. I wouldn't work, I'd just get myself the best equipment and gear for all my hobbies and just have fun all the time. I'd also buy a house close enough to the city but far enough to it so I can blast my music and do shit without interfering with anyone.

How rich is rich? Having 1 million is rich but it's nothing compared to 100 million. If we assume the lower end I'd go to my bank and put half of it in low risk investments. I would use some amount of it to buy a fair sized house for me and my family, as well as furnishings and the like for everyone. After that I'd live off the rest. I wouldn't give any of the money away and I wouldn't donate any of it to charity, just because if you start giving away money you'll never be left alone again.

Nicer house, travel a bit, tat myself up and live comfortably.

I'd probably pay off the rest of my student loan debt and then buy a nice car and house, then become a recluse.
