1 Question, why Codemasters ?
Why not? This is a stupid question really. Because they can. And/or for teh lulz
It seems to me that hackers just have a giant dartboard with a bunch of companies on it and whatever a dart hits they hack, with no reason or justification
Great.
This hacking "rampage" is becoming ridiculous. I will admit, when people hack companies to expose corruption by leaking emails and things along those lines as has happened in the past, I don't really have a problem with it, but when they just go around hacking companies for no apparent reason (or in the case of sony make the service worse for customers) then that's just being dickish.
Thats what you get for blocking Dirt 3 in my country fuckers.

I'd like to see the justification for hacking Codies. There's literally no gain at all to be had from hacking them.
Codemasters really didn't deserve any of this.
What's with all these hackers lately?
New media circus? There's always happens something big that makes people confused and worried, the newspapers flood their pages with articles on the said event because it's hot stuff. Things are documented and broadcasted as long as they are sensational and after that when no one cares anymore, the said things just are left without media attention with no doubt of them still happening.
All these hacks lately, but they still haven't leaked Episode 3.
There's nothing to leak
Well i guess you could say, Codemasters just got outcoded
This is getting old, come with something new.
Hack Activision instead please
At least they have their shit encrypted and they assume that everything's been ripped because access was gained.
It's nice to see some people with brains in charge of press releases.
The only reason I would understand why they hacked Codemasters for is for the VIP access codes in order to play online.
Guess they should be called Codeamateurs now haheh

Umm so? This is free world. Act like you want. If you break the law, get arrested. If they can't catch you, then improve security.
I kinda like these random hackings, they show that no one is safe, thus motivates people to secure their details and services more.
God dammit, I like Codemasters :saddowns:
There's nothing to leak
There is the empty game folder
Most likely everyone who submitted a product to E3 will get hit, seems to be the most likely scenario.

Right now those ratings are pissing me off
These lulzsec guys sit there all day looking for exploits in websites of well known companies, just for media attention

ok you realize that usually the point of hacking is intention of gain, right? this could be a financial gain or just making a point.
how can either of those come from hacking codemasters?
[editline]11th June 2011[/editline]
it's really uncommon that people do such sizable hacking for shits and giggles. getting your school's broadcast to show porn - that's shits and giggles. a big game dev/publisher - doubt it's for shits and giggles
