What a shitty article.
Both companies have their downfall, both companies have horrible advertising/PR. If I had to choose, right now, Ubisoft is being the worst company.
"least worst" is that even gramatically correct?
ahahaha video game journalism is such a joke video game publisher guide to calming the masses for another round of fuckery: step one: throw out a bunch of bullshit apologies (its the latest PR fad!) step two: "donate" to some schmuck vg journalist so they'll make a big show about how sincere you are
Sorry Ubisoft you're trying hard but you're not on EA's level yet.
ahahaha video game journalism is such a joke
It's really sad but so true. There are a few who I could even call actual journalists, but most seem to be bloggers and rental PR dudes.
So, people get paid to make articles like this?
What a shitty article.
Can we get just get rid of the PCGamesN bot all together? It just seems like everything it puts out is a disappointment.
ea makes more playable pc ports and origin is less annoying to use than uplay
I've found out that Origin actually isn't that annoying to deal with
Can we get just get rid of the PCGamesN bot all together? It's fine for days and days but suddenly they put out a shit article and everyone repeats how horrible they are. Not trying to defend PCGN, because they do have some pathetic articles, but it's inconsistent.
Personally I think EA is a lot more scummy than Ubisoft TBH.
Ubisoft thinks so highly of themselves that they expect their delayed PC ports to sell more copies in a week than the console version did in the month+ delay. Which also mean they expect people to buy the same game a second or third time. I'm well aware that there are people who do such already, but when the only difference between PC and console is customizable graphic and resolution options I can't see much reason to buy pretty much the same game again after such a short period.
Of the two, I'd prefer EA, because they've published some really good stuff, and when something doesn't work they'll at least try to fix it, Ubisoft just pumps more money into PR.
Sorry Ubisoft you're trying hard but you're not on EA's level yet.
They kind of are.
I like EA more [sp]sue me[/sp]
"Number of games that feature tigers" Good God...
I prefer ubisoft because even though all of their stuff has uplay it at least is on steam.
I fucking hate Origin, but compared to uPlay, its a godsend.
For as much as some people hate Jimquisition, I more or less agree entirely on his opinions of Ubisoft: Even though the video isn't central to Ubisoft, it really is - particularly focusing on a lot of the bullshit that Ubisoft has pulled lately.
I fucking hate Origin, but compared to uPlay, its a godsend.
Origin isn't actually that bad of a client really but their games should still be on steam jesus christ
Both are scum and should go bankrupt for being painful thorns in current state of gaming industry.
PCGamesN asking the tough questions.
EA because they bought Bioware and now all they release is digital diarrhea. (Plus they ate up other amazing developers like Westwood).
I'd like to find the least worst game journalism outlet.
I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't hate both of these companies. I don't get hyped over the graphical capabilities of games, so I don't hate Ubisoft, and I don't hate Origin, so, I don't hate EA. I mean honestly the worst things I've had to deal with coming from both of them are Battlelog and Uplay, which are both things I'll deal with.
My vote goes to EA.... EA is by far the worst by many counts: -Cutting away features on any games and selling them as DLC -Their games are expansive as hell and does not really worth the price. -Anything positive goes against their "vision", which includes always online DRM, Bullshit entities that back them up, and all other fowl things. -They have not finished patching up Battlefield 4 and decided to make another brand new game of Battlefield that feels more like a mod then it does feel like a new experience, with again a 60 dollars price tag which is worthless. -They believe in their own lies and twist our words, pretending that they are truely are listening to us, but fail to prove it by their actions. Ubisoft however I don't think is at least the worst company in the world, and I think the huge controversy about the graphics of watchdogs is a little bit overexcessive... with people saying "BAH! it's not the graphics from E3 2012! BOYCOTT IT! WORST GAME EVER! FUCK YOU UBISOFT!" while I'm like "are people seriously arguing about the game's graphics AND only the graphics? Pfft..." Graphics I don't really care much about, it might all look shiny and colorful, and lots of bloom and AA and all that jazz but what I really care about is having fun, I've bought Watchdogs and honestly I liked it... not really my favorite game but it's pretty decent and I think it's worth every cent in my opinion. Farcry 3 was an awesome game and so was blood dragon, both games actually provided me weeks of entertainment when doing random things in the game and having fun, and I'll be getting Far Cry 4 when it comes out because I want to see the same experience but a little bit more... same thing with Assassin's Creed because I've love the storyline of the Assassin's Creed series and they do make very interesting story though many ages and always bring in a interesting storyline... I've loved the assassin's creed 2 story, and Black Flag story. I'll be grabbing unity because unity sounds very deep in the storyline considering it's based on the French Revolution... I enjoy most of Ubisoft games, and at least Ubisoft delivers way much more better then what EA spews out with that horrible crap like Dungeon Keeper, The Sims, Dead Space 3, Mass Effect 3, and Dragon Age 2.... also SWTOR... Such degrading games that is full of expansive DLC's and very little content in them to keep me entertained... At least Ubisoft don't milk a single game thousands of times with DLC... all they do is throw in a season pass that give you a few nooks and crannies and a side story of the game with a different character or something else, that's it... not 15 dlc that cost 15-25 dollars that provided only 5-6 small things.
Since EA ruined some of my favorite game series and companies from when I was little, there's no telling me they're a better company than those that still keep things like HoMM going rather well. Sure their pre-order incentives and DLCs are fucking terrible, but that goes for both companies, and at least Ubisoft treats older series with some form of respect.
Ubisoft is pretty shit but sometimes they publish good stuff, and not just AAA movies.
Activision.
