I recently purchased Aliens vs Predator via steam which came with a free copy of Universe at War: Earth Assault. So I finished downloading the game and launch it to find that it uses GFW. This wouldn't be a problem but for some reason I cannot figure out it will not let me log in. It comes up with an error that my network drivers might not be up to date, but I just updated them. I can also log into the GFW Client without any problems, its only in this game that it is not working.
What type of router do you have? I was at a lan party at my friends house for some month ago and there i could connect to the GFW client but not to the ingame network. It solved itself when I came home.
Dynalink RTA1046VW, it's a 4 port ADSL2+/ADSL compatible modem with VoIP and wireless compatitablity. There are 2 devices connected to the network, my PC and my Playstation 3.
You got any firewalls up?
I have windows firewall, thats it I think.
Type windows firewall advanced into the run bar, and then check for it in the inbound rules area to see if its been disabled
if its there and blocked, just right click an go to properties and click on allow the connections
probably wont help you at all, but just incase
