This just sounds like an insane cash scam to make unknowing parents buy figures for their kids.
Two months later: "We are sad to announce the server shut down"
First off, it looks fucking stupid. Second off, that music will always remind me of this trailer:
Well don't worry. In 10 years, this will all be an obscure toy fad that people once remembered.
Just trying to be as successful as Skylanders.
Just trying to be as successful as Skylanders.
No, it will be twice more profitable than Skylanders due to the fact that Disney's IP is more recognizable than Skylanders. I mean between two toys you have to choose, would you rather buy this strange skylander lizard thingy whose name you probably won't remember or buy Disney Infinity toy of Wreck-it-Ralph? But Like I said, this fad is similar to the guitar games fad of the late 2000s. Guitar hero was the guitar simulator gimmick game that died out very quickly in the 2011.
Two months later: "We are sad to announce the server shut down"
Its going to make bags full of cash more than skylanders I would assume
The whole free sandbox creative buildy thing sounds really fun to me but the idea of a huge game like this only coming with 3 character sounds pretty crappy You'd have to spend hundreds of dollars if you wanted all of them
Thats the point
I hope this game comes out on PC so you can just play the characters without spending every last dollar you have and having 20 million shitty figurines lying around I'm pretty goddamn confident ALL of the characters come on the disk as soon as you buy it
From the trailer alone, it looks like Kingdom Hearts without the angst.
Dunno but it looks pretty fun, i just hate the Skylander buy-figures-to-unlock-shit model

Kiddies who are fans of Disney will want their parents to buy Disney Infinity figurines, because it's Disney trying to go Skylanders. Kiddies who are fans of Skylanders will want their parents to buy Disney Infinity figurines, because it's Disney trying to go Skylanders.
♫♫ This is the game that never ends~ ♫♫

i think it looks pretty okay, and i dont mind the fact you can get shit from buying figurines i mean, look at this from a kids perspective, they get a figure and some dlc that, from what i see from the trailer, gives them that character to play as but not only that there seems to be a huge idea about building so, mix building with your toy and you get a really fun sandbox
if this was online multiplayer this would be worth it buuuuuuut [editline]a[/editline] from what I can see it looks kind of like a dumbed down Halo's Forge but minus the ability to play with friends in anyway besides coop which is a big no-no

If I got it, I'd mainly want it for characters from Disney stuff I know and enjoy, not newer stuff like Phineas and Ferb (although characters from Gravity Falls would be awesome).
Disney Infinity 2/3 of the starting characters are Pixar characters. Yep, that's Disney these days.
Disney Infinity 2/3 of the starting characters are Pixar characters. Yep, that's Disney these days.
thankfully there is no Brave in sight
Like I've said in another thread on this: $30 for three figures is $10 per toy. Seems pretty reasonable to me
thankfully there is no Brave in sight
what's wrong with brave
This is probably going to do insanely well. In-case you haven't noticed, the ONLY advertising that is ever on Disney channels is advertising Disney shows or toys. They're extremely good at marketing and very profitable.

The only reason Guitar Hero died out is because the people at Activision don't know how to run a franchise.
These toys are more expensive then Skylanders. Fuck that.
Disney Infinity 2/3 of the starting characters are Pixar characters. Yep, that's Disney these days.
Wait until they release the Disney Princess Figurine collectibles.
Wait until they release the Disney Princess Figurine collectibles.
I'll give you that one. The latest princess was Merida. But this shows the problem with Disney these days. It's not like they can't create original characters that everybody loves anymore (Wreck-It-Ralph, Princess and the Frog), it's just that they don't promote them when compared to the Pixar characters. Heck, even those that aren't as popular get double the promotion someone like Ralph gets. Basically, they've got it, so they're going to flaunt it until you get sick and tired of 'em.
