My heat sink is fucked over and it's not coming out for some reason. It is held in by 2 metal "things" I cant find a model number or anything all I know is its a dell from around the early 2000's. It looks like a fatter version of a school computer and when I turn it on it does 2 fast beeps waits a sec then beeps again.
It's hard to "fuck over" a heatsink; it's a solid piece of metal. Or do you mean the heatsink fan? We would need more info to help you with this problem. Pictures would be fabulous since you say you can't find model info.
It was factory made and there is no fan. It's a old dell.

It looks exactly like this one http://farm1.static.flickr.com/94/339944655_3cc0069e5a_o.jpg
No fan :psyduck:
I read up and it said it used a tunnel system type thing like a fan from the back of it to blow on it.
A fan wont fit on top of it by the way it looks.
I had an old dell like that. I never took it apart, but i think just popping those metal things off will free up the cooler.
