Is there any surefire way to force enable aeroglass in windows 7?

I have tried multiple times with the registry editor tweaks and all that other crap but it isn't working. I really would like aero enabled and I know I cannot be the only one with this problem. Program recommendations are good too.

What graphics card do you have?
ATI moblility radion 9000
The only way is to have a decent GPU and a decent Windows version.
I thought there was a forced way to do it. I just wanted it so I can disable the transparency and use it as such.
surefire way: Windows 7 Home Premium or higher, non-integrated GPU after the year 2005(probably)
Only way I know is to install the latest drivers and hope Windows considers them good enough to run Aero.
My integrated graphics accelerator (it's not even good enough to be a GPU) runs aero fine and it's even enabled by default.
updated it... still nothing...
Then no, you'd have to have a different card.
If you have starter there is no way to really do this without some nasty hacks.
I am running ultimate...
It is IMPOSSIBLE to run aero on that IGP, the Mobility Radeon 9000 doesn't even support DX9 let alone SM 3. You might as well give up. http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Mobility-Radeon-9000.6942.0.html

When I popped my Radeon 9200 in my Current computer for shits and giggles, aero worked. It even got a score of 2! (Its a DX8.1 card).
You need a DX9 capable graphics card to run aero.

Are you sure it wasn't a 9500 or something? The only DX8.1 graphics cards in the 9 series were 9000-9200, others were DX9 shader model 2.
I have an ati mobility radeon 9800 on my laptop but aero won't work...
Maybe the problem is that it's a laptop card.

So you bought windows 7 ultimate, but can't even afford a proper gpu? :raise:

He didn't say he bought it.
His name is probably relevant.

Quite sure, I've had the card in my old computer since 2004.
