it's pay2notgrind
it's pay2notgrind
Still a good game though. Sucks if you want to try out all the mechs.
90% of the players suck in this game. If you need a confidence booster and are moderately good at FPS this is for you.
Free To Play in Steam Early Access
All it needs now is Greenlight.
90% of the players suck in this game. If you need a confidence booster and are moderately good at FPS this is for you.
hot damn i know what im playing then
it's pay2notgrind
Still better than pay2win, even if it's not simply pay2lookfly like Dota.
Do you still have to buy the collectors edition whatever to get into the game? I tried to play it when it first got on steam something like a week or two ago and while being F2P, you couldn't get in without buying some $30 pack.

The packs were released to "control load on the servers" before the F2P launch on Steam.
it's pay2notgrind
Isn't that basically what makes a game pay-to-win, aside from the (hopefully) minority that has paid exclusives.
Pay2win is paying money to buy broken OP items that you can't get any other way.
Isn't that basically what makes a game pay-to-win, aside from the (hopefully) minority that has paid exclusives.
pay2win means you pay to have an advantage over others, pay2notgrind means you just level up faster, you still fight people at the same level as you, no advantages.
The grind is so fucking long that it may as well be. On top of that there are some mechs that are just simply superior to others - even in roles they are not supposed to excel in. And if you actually do want to buy something then you better make sure your wallet is fat because this game is goddamn expensive. (That being said, most free2play games have stupidly overpriced item shops)
some of the best mechs are also the cheapest mechs to buy with in-game credit.
The starting mech looks like a TV with legs.
it's pay2notgrind
like planetside 2 then? guess i'm not trying this either
After playing Titanfall, this game is just disappointing
I think Titanfall made me not enjoy this game, because when I'm playing this I can't help but think "I wish I was playing Titanfall".
The starting mech looks like a TV with legs.
Microwave
I fucking suck at this game, but I'm well above average in every other shooter games I've ever played, what am I doing wrong
I fucking suck at this game, but I'm well above average in every other shooter games I've ever played, what am I doing wrong
I got a vanguard (basically it's ability is a giant shield infront of it, effectively making it an OP tank.) and never lost a game, 20+ kills every game. Only time I lost (ONCE) was when my teammates wouldn't just stay behind and would do whatever they wanted. Never needed any special rockets or turrets or anything either.
I fucking suck at this game, but I'm well above average in every other shooter games I've ever played, what am I doing wrong
You know how in regular fps you can't sidestep to dodge bullets? I Hawken, you sidestep to dodge bullets.
After playing Titanfall, this game is just disappointing
because titanfall titans aren't mechs lol, there's nothing "mech-y" about them. they're just bigger soldiers. or just buy the assault or berserker since they're the best mechs in the game that can 1v1 anything and everything, even at stock equipment. [editline]9th March 2014[/editline] also tip: each game mode has its own "daily win of the day" thing so you can potentially earn ~1200 credits from just winning a single game in each gamemode every day.
Played one game and got enough credits to buy an Assault mech.
Can confirm Assault mech rocks. The first game I played with it I went 10 and 2.
