Is there a way to stop Windows 7 fucking around with the volumes of individual programs every so often?
Like someone would voice call me on steam and Windows 7 kindly makes all my other things go really quiet, even though I want to be able to hear them. I have to fix their volumes myself with the Volume Mixer.
Thanks
I'm having troubles with this aswell, I have to change options on GMod all the time so it won't be so damn loud! Fix would be appriciated.

Thanks so much! I've been going around thinking it was Skype doing this :bang:
Hehe yeah i found out about this 'SUPER HANDY OPTION' some time ago.
Cheers
Sometimes when I unplug my mic or switch from my headphones to the speaker the sound is disabled for a few seconds and in some games the sound wont come back until I restart it.

Microsoft had good intention when they added that. However it was executed so poorly.
ok, mrs_hoo65 uses Second Life & has sound > communications > do nothing set but it still does the volume ducking thing.
