Introversion has never let me down so I would have picked it up just out of loyalty to them but it's good that it's also a great game
its under 2 hours long and it has a really cool little idea behind it but its really nothing special. [sp]It has a few horror elements here and there but its mostly just looking at how pretty the scans are[/sp] honestly it'd be worth trying but the money would be better off spent on something like the solus project or talos principle if you're coming in for the sake of exploration
I also should point out that the ending [sp]is literally "you were dead all along"[/sp] which is the most garbage cliche ever, and without the scanner gimmick it'd be a contentless walking sim with very dull horror elements and no plot, that never made it out of early access. Pretty sure it may have used stock asset "Ethan" for the T-Posed guy too. I really want to see the scanner again in a better game, reviewers on steam calling this a "A contemporary masterpiece" are practically shit-posting considering this is just dear esther with a few scary scares and a cool visual trick. I'm so disappointed in this.
