• DVD Drive read as removable device in BIOS, etc problems!

So my DVD Drive is put in just fine, power and IDE cable. All fine but for some reason one day its read as a removable device in the bios. So I tried to boot off it, nothing happens so I went into Windows, says theres a CD/DVD Drive. Acts like nothing is in even though a Windows CD is in. So it cant read CD/DVDS and i cant boot off it. Anyone know the problem, id like to install some shit. Extra info: YES ITS ON THE RIGHT ENDS, ITS ON MASTER AND THE MASTER END PLUG IS PLUGGED INTO IT. So thats right...
Please help!
It's a hardware problem, try different cords/connectors and a different cd-drive altogether. After that it's the motherboards fault. Oh actually, try clearing your CMOS first. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pdp_L5IxaNI

Tried different drives before, I got plenty and no results. Tried resetting the BIOS 3 different ways, all did not work. Battery, CMOS pins and setup defaults in bios. Nothing worked.
Then it's your motherboard, i don't think you can fix that by tinkering. You need to buy a new one if you want a cd drive, or buy a usb cd-drive. You can still boot off disks with those.
