yay!, I am glad they learned something of the last game
This feels like Splinter Cell Conviction and Blacklist. Conviction was a step in a new direction but changed way too much from the previous games and was a pretty shitty Splinter Cell game. In Blacklist, Ubisoft learned many of their mistakes, added in a lot of old gameplay mechanics and it's probably the most Splinter Cell-y game in years and my favorite in the series since Chaos Theory (which is probably the equivalent of Blood Money to the Hitman series). I'm a fan of both series so I think it's an interesting comparison to make.

Not good enough IO. Where's Mini Ninjas 2?

I'll probably install it, I got it for free from my graphics card purchase.
Aw I liked dropping 20 pistols to go through a metal detector
I am quite certain they are referring to the fact that in Absolution you could holster big two-handed weapons such as rifles and shotguns, even several of them I believe. In the older games this was not possible as they were too big for your coat, so you simply put them in your left hand. This in turn made it risky to walk around with firepower as you would be spotted immediately.
