• A way to stop my Xbox Live Connection from dropping every 10-60 minutes.

Over the past several years my Xbox has never been able to establish a decent connection, I've tried google and never had any decent results, I've asked steam friends and occasionally a few Xbox related game threads on Facepunch, but nothing has brought up a solid answer. My Xbox is 'stationed' in my bedroom, wireless - both my Xbox and my PC are wireless but only the xbox drops connection every 10-60 minutes, I can quickly reconnect to Xbox Live but it's annoying when it kicks me from a game and forces me to lose progress or points. The same happens with GFWL, only not as severe, minimum is about 30 minutes and can go from 2 hours upwards. What I'm asking is for a way to make it so my wireless xbox live connection doesn't keep randomly dropping - is it a firewall issue? I don't know but what I do know is that a lot of people have the same problem. I'm looking for somebody to help and all help would be appreciated.
Try hardwiring the xbox to your router, then directly to your modem and post results. I believe it's the wireless connection's fault, or the router's.
Yeah, I managed to play a 4 hour session wired directly, only disconnected once but I think that was due to something else. Shame, guess I'll have to stay downstairs to play it from now on.
This happened for me with wireless, you have to just use an ethernet cable to connect it to the router.
