I don't feel like the bayonet needs a nerf personally, it is already used so rarely. In fact I'd like a buff to the general melee system so that if you're up close and you hit him with for example a shovel, he should atleast be dazed and not so easily able to just gun you down when you're literally hugging him. Maybe the melee system in general isn't complex enough, but I actually like the melee a lot in this game compared to previous ones and find it new, intense and fitting of the theme and pacing and wouldn't mind seeing more of it.

And this nerf is just gonna make baynoet charges more ridiculous when you find yourselves more often running fucking past an enemy. The second tweak seems alright tho.
I remember loving the bayonet rush in the beta way back when, but after release I mostly remember using it only to miss and then mostly forgetting about it. The hotspot where you need to be seems ridiculously small considering how little maneuverability you have while charging and more often than not I seem to just pass right through players who then turn around and shoot me with their Hellriegels.

You know how plenty of games have a mechanic where your gun is automatically lowered when you're near a wall or something? They should do the same thing when two opposing people are right on top of each other. Anyone running around with melee weapons won't have to worry about getting shot in the face mid swing if they can just get within a meter of the person their trying to hit. It would make close quarters fighting more interesting overall when people are no longer just shooting at each other, but charging right at one another and mashing the melee key.
Bayonett nerfs are pretty unneeded, its hard enough to hit anything with them and not die as it is.
I feel like this is a result of bad players crying with no situational awarness or just missing chargers.
I think if you had to nerf the turn rate, a player should just lose momentum instead just like real life.
I have almost 100 hours played and the number of times I've died to bayonets can be counted on one hand. What a bizarre nerf.

the hellriegel needs to be removed
i literally stopped playing because every match i got into was dominated by some prick with a hellriegel mopping up the entire team, it was no fun regardless of whether they were on the enemy team or mine
