So I was browsing through some windows 7 features, have it for quite a while now. Only I didn't notice any stereo mix. It's not that big of a deal, but I think I'm missing audio drivers.
So I went to the nvidia site, downloaded my mainboard (Yea I got the correct one), installed it, restarted it, but then the colors were really, really intens, and there still wasn't any stereo mix, so I did a system restore.
So now what, should I got to the realtek site? I have a RTL8211bl soundchip/card whatever you want to call it.
You wont get your sound drivers from nvidia? thats your chipset drivers..

When I selected HDMI driver, for my chipset, it didn't find any (630i/7100)
Realtek is notorious for removing Stereo Mix from drivers, to "stop music piracy" or some bullshit like that.
I've heard that you can uninstall your sound card drivers, and let the built-in Windows ones install, and you'll have Stereo Mix. I've never had this problem, since I own an actual sound card (as opposed to an on-board chip), but I'd give it a try if you want to see what happens.

I disabled High Definition Audio driver, but no update from windows. Also on windows vista, I did have stereo mix...
you should have stereo mix if you installed the latest win7 drivers for your sound chip
IE: Realtek or VIA

I guess I'll try getting it off the realtek site, though they tell you to get it off the mainboard manufacturer site.
