So I want to build a pc this summer and here's what I got so far. I figured I would tap into the community to see if you guys could review/make suggestions for the list or offer some advice.
My absolute max budget is $850, and I don't need a power supply
I also want to get a heatsink for the cpu, so if you have suggestions, that would be great.
...and the case just went out of stock.
Intel motherboard and amd cpu i see an issue.

Oh right, I forgot about that. I had an intel build earlier. Do you have a suggestion for a motherboard?
Keep the Intel build. Intel practically bends AMD over and rapes it when it comes to cpu performance. Just get an Asrock Extreme4 Z77 and an i5-3570k then your build will be fine.

Mainly got rid of the intel build because of price. I felt I could get a cheaper AMD CPU for the same power as those Intel CPUs.
I'm saving like $110+ with the AMD build.
What PSU do you have then?
also going AMD at that budget is dumb. You will lose a lot of performance that way.

If you have a microcenter near you, you can go buy an intel cpu + mobo and you'll save more money and have an asskicking CPU compared to the AMD stuff you picked out.

$50 (instant discount for buying an intel cpu+mobo)
= $240
What you have adds up to like ~$270.
AMD is shit at anything above low end. You may be able to save $110 by getting AMD, but you could also save even more than $110 by getting a Celeron processor on the cheapest motherboard available. Cheaper isn't better with processors. You will either get Intel or regret your purchase.

Saving money and getting the same power as better parts don't go together when you're building a computer. Even the generation old Phenom II processors perform better than Bulldozer, and even then Intel is still leagues ahead. Just because the FX-8120 is "8 core" means nothing for performance.

If anything, drop the SSD. Sure you're going to have a slightly faster boot time, but is it really worth getting worse components that are actually required for a computer?

Corsair TX750w
I'll switch back to Intel then. I like that Microcenter deal but the nearest one is 6 hours from me. I have some people that live there though, so maybe they could mail it to me.
Hey thanks for the helpful feedback. This is my first PC build from scratch so it's a learning process.
