So yeah,
Is there anyway to run games you bought through steam without having steam on?
I'm trying to do this with ArmA2, to squeeze a little extra power of not having steam on in the background.
(My CPU aint' to good)
It runs alright, but it ran better in the demo, when I didn't need to have steam on in the background.
Any suggestions?

Guess I'll just save for a better processor.
There are steam emulators, i don't think it is considered legal though.
Emulators are always more laggy.

You really don't have a clue what you are talking about, do you?
The so called steam emulator only creates a fake steam enviroment, to bypass the steam dependancy check that steam games have when it is executed
