yo, I was wondering if anyone could help me with rooting a HTC One X? I've been trying for about a week to do it but haven't gotten anywhere. XDA Dev threads are all out of date and full of dead links too. I've found some software that is supposed to do it but I need to unlock my bootloader - I follow the htcdev instructions until I get to the step requiring the command console and it can't seem to find anything. HTCSync doesn't seem to work either.
I've rooted two devices before and never found it this hard!

and honestly XDA is where to find it, but try the android thread.
even sometimes dead xda threads can be a lifesaver
I was thinking about it but decided a thread would get more attention, i'll take another look on xda
