I don't want some people to know my real name at all so they won't add me to facebook, so I really hope Microsoft makes the option to change your display name in the final release.

Was talking about Windows Live Essentials. Was implied by "Wave 4" as there is only a Wave 4 for essentials and not the whole service.

If you mean get rid of all the extra social stuff, there's a button in the top-right corner (I think) that lets you hide it.
If you mean go back to the old version, I don't know.

I have a question myself; can I install Mail Wave 4 without installing Messenger Wave 4?
To go back to wlm 2009, just uninstall wave 4 and reinstall the 2009 version.
Messenger chats are always blank; and I [U]mean[/U] [B]blank[/B].
Nothing shows at all but the top bar with the close button and shiznets.
So, did they remove the handwriting feature from Messegner? I can't draw to my friends anymore, which really sucks if thats the case.

Well, I can confirm that the new WLM no longer supports handwriting or drawing. I can neither send nor receive it. Any clue why they ditched such a fun, though usless, feature? I really enjoyed doodling pictures for my friends.
The new WLM needs lots of working on. I was excited about the Facebook chat feature but it sucks to because half of my friends don't appear online. The program crashes every 2 minutes too.

yeah i didnt know you could chat with them. none of mine show up either. when i click on there name it just brings up facebook and send a messege
