Between softwares like Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, Adobe After Effects CS4 and Sony Vegas 9 what would be the best one, if I want to make for example a game montage or something similar.
Thanks in Advance
After Effects isn't really video editing software. it's more video graphics stuff, and although you can edit video with it, it takes much longer than alternatives. If you're making a game montage, you really don't need Premiere so I would go with Vegas.

As Epic Sandwich said, After Effects is more for motion graphics and special effects (vfx), it's not really designed to edit together an entire video clip.
Premiere and Vegas are remarkably similar, both having comparable features and abilities. As such, once you learn the basics of one, you can apply a lot of that to the other program.
I prefer Sony Vegas; it's very flexible, and also has a fairly easy learning curve. As far as basic editing goes, it is pretty simple - either move your mouse to the left or right edge of a clip and drag inwards to set the in/out points of a shot, or if you want to cut the footage somewhere else, press the s key to split the clip at the playhead's position.
Premiere is fairly similar - like Vegas when it comes to basic editing you can drag the left and right edges of the clip to trim it. If you want to cut up a clip (in its center, say), press the C button to bring up the razor tool - then click on the part of the clip you want to split between.
Also a general editing tip: there is a standard shortcut that works across most industry level non-linear editors, J, K, and L. I keep my left hand on those three buttons most of the time while editing - J plays backwards through the timeline, K pauses, and L moves forward. In Vegas, holding K and pressing J or L will act as a sort of dial jogger and will play the video at incremental rates of 0.25. This allows you to get pretty precise with trimming your in and out points of a clip, without resorting to clicking the playback buttons with the mouse (ie: it's quicker to switch from reverse play to forward play if you're using J and L)
tl;dr: most non-linear editors share common features and work in much the same way. Vegas has a slight edge in my mind only because it's very easy to use, works well and is very stable, but they're both fairly similar.
