Hi.

I saw something like this a while back and thought to give it another try

In here vent about stupid shit facepunchers do and about our general culture

me:

I fucking hate it when someone posts an extremely valid contribution to some argument that pretty much wins it for one side, and is then completely overlooked and the argument goes on pointlessly for x amount of pages in a neverending spiral of bandwagon ratings and Sobotnik cameos (gun debate)

How Facepunch loves anything until it becomes famous

Getting boxed or disagreed when you're genuinely trying to make a valid point and continue the conversation is infuriating. It's like, wow, ok, I'm a massive moron and I should never open my mouth ever again.

On one hand, it works. Facepunch is a fairly down-to-earth community and if the Facepunch majority decide you're being a tithead, it's probably because you're being a tithead and that you should stop. However, on the other hand, it completely undermines you to post a well-thought out reply that gets disagree'd, dumb'd and ignored altogether all because you seem to have said the wrong thing.

I like hanging out here, and I enjoy talking to you lot but for someone as socially-clueless as I am, an ill-timed box-rating can be crippling, especially when I was just trying to join in on the conversation.

Sad to say I found most '12ers to be extremely annoying. Some nice people here and there but 12 was a horrible year of new members.
