Kind of like my old thread on how much I hate usage of the word "purchase". Fucking "purchase".
Anyways, anybody find that saying "No offense" after you've just obviously offended/insulted somebody just makes it works? It's just a huge piss off. I mean, say it differently at LEAST. "I'm sorry, I don't really want to offend." wouldn't be so bad.
I don't really know why it just adds more insult, I think it's just because the person being offended has an obvious semi-sub-conscious thought that "Alright you aren't making any attempt at saying this nicely.". EVEN IF they say it in a decently nice way, I find that adding the "No offense" drags it back down to offensive. Why is this?
So just an FYI - if you're saying "No offense.", chances are the guy you're talking to is secretly thinking about how much of a douche you are.
This thread is dumb.
No offence.
Did someone call you a bad name. Dawwww, why don't you go and ma- oh wait.

Nope, just me ranting about the usage of no offense. Hee hoo.
Saying no offense is your ticket to saying anything insensitive or offensive, and if the other person gets mad you can say "Well, you're immature and have anger problems. I said no offense, dude."
Seems solid.
i didn't know you had experimental surgery to have your balls removed

no offense
No offense is a stupid statement as you say it because YOU KNOW you've said something that is offensive or can be interpreted as offensive.
If you didn't mean any offense then you have no reason to say that you didn't mean any offense. You explain that IF they react.
I'm going to suck everyone's dick in here because I'm a raging homo.
No homo.

Well that's just IRL trolling, and makes you seem like even more of a douchebag.
I don't know if anybody else finds this, but it's like when you get angry at somebody for something and they say "Wow you're such a spazz!", and then you get even angrier because your anger at them is legitimate and thus did not warrant the spazz statement.

Trolling doesn't exist in real life, only alliances.
Well, at least in high school. :ohdear:
I find you sexy, no offense.
OP is such a fucking tard.
No offense

ITT: people insulting op and justifying it by saying "no offence"
I never say "No offense." I just jump straight in and say what I want to say.
Saying "Don't get angry" or "No offense" is just screaming "Get pissed off at what I'm about to tell you."
God damn reverse psychology! :argh:

I usually just raeg at people for saying it to others. When people say it to me, I usually say something really unrelated at the top of my lungs, that way the sketchy kid saying it will go "Wat de fuk u fag?" and get scared off.
"PINGAS" works best.
Snoopingas usual?
Minilandstan likes to rape children...no offence.

Hah, I actually did do something pretty close to that.
first day at my new Junior High, and during recess, a girl came up to me and said "no offense, but we think you are the ugliest kid at school".
that comment has been burned into my mind, and i still think about it. it has completely destroyed any self respect, and now i am extremely self-conscious and i keep to myself.
its been 4 years now, and it still stings.
why do people feel the need to be so cruel? what do they accomplish?

Hah, oh wow. That's gotta hurt if you own no self-irony at this point.
Why do people do that shit? That's easy and quite obvious. To feel better about themselves and to get shit out of their own system. They just have to say it or else it'll chew on their brain forever and they wouldn't like that so they feel the need to say dumb shit.
Purchase. No offense.

No purchase, offense.
I have never heard a person use the word "purchase" out of context.

But seriously, why do you care?

that is what he is ranting about :downsbravo:
ITT: People on facepunch insulting op and justifying it by saying "no offence" because he decided to make a thread to complain about it, and people on facepunch also like seeing people angry, dispite the fact that the thread was made for discussing how people other than op might hate that phrase as well.
are you happy now
I agree completely. When someone says "No offense" I just think, "Here we go..."
The people I know only use "no offense" when what they're about to say could be potentially insulting. People who use it as an excuse to insult people are just idiotic assholes.
