I was playing Crysis today, and out of no where it started lagging really bad, to the point of having to quit without saving. It was working fine up until now, I lowed all the settings to the recommended, what the hell happened? Specs: i7 920 @ 2.66 GHz 12GB RAM Windows 7 525W PSU
What's the GPU? [editline]04:47PM[/editline] Wait... Your the guy with the GTS240 and 12GB of RAM. Well, your video card isn't the best. What resolution are you running at? Are you using high setting, medium, low?
I'm running at 1440x900. When it started laggin it was as all high with Sound, water, and physics at Very High. But it wouldn't randomly start lagging if hardware or settings were the problem.. would it?

Turn it down a notch.
I was playing for about an hour before this started happened, 7 hours on record, why now then? Now I'm assuming the GPU overheated.
Well open up HWMonitor and monitor it while you play. [editline]09:52PM[/editline] [url]http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html[/url]
