• Seemingly Random Freezing on Windows 7

This issue is so terrible that it caused Notepad++ to delete the entire contents of the .txt file that was supposed to be this thread. I'm sorry for the lack of info but I honestly have to be quick about this. I'm getting random freezes, Windows stops responding to input entirely, if any sound is playing it'll slow down, sound garbled and then cut out, if the cursor that was on as the freeze happened was the spinning loading cursor, it'll weirdly enough, keep spinning. It appears to be semi random, but occur faster if I open Steam or try to install Windows Updates. I'm running Window 7 SP1 64bit on a SSD drive. I recently replaced a dead 560ti with a GTX 760. I run both a 8600gt and a 760 now, but despite taking out the 8600gt and running both screens on that, I still get freezes. [editline]25th August 2014[/editline] 5th hour, get desperate enough to ask for help. 5th hour and 10 minutes, fix problem. So yeah it all worked after a system restore and I look incredibly silly right now. Marking as solved.
