monitor won't work after installing new graphics card

i have recently updated my graphics card but when i turn on the computer my monitor won't work, it will only work when i unplug the Graphics card, even when i don't touch the monitor cable, so i know it's because of the card.

(sorry for awful images, i'm using my ancient webcam)

That is almost definitely the answer unless your card is dead anyway.
