Except the really fucking awkard anime shit, but the game itself was fucking amazing.
You can play it in HD with a GC emulator ( dolphin ).

I'd pretty much recommend this but needs to be said this PS3 release of the original game adds everything the JP only PS2 version added, those most importantly being new attacks and costumes, dubbed. (+ JP audio but EN text choice for those who care about that.)
They also touched up on a few graphical stuff. The sequel though I don't think they even changed anything important. With it at least I just think you are absolutely better off using Dolphin in addition of the hack that lets you level the original game's characters so if you decide you can use them without being gimped thanks to the developers decision of level locking them to push forward the monster raising aspect in your face.
